Enclosure Mounting:
With our pre-drilled mounting holes, installation is easy! Simply hold up to the wood stud, and insert sheetrock screws to secure the Fire Rated enclosure. Most installers can install our enclosure in under a minute, making job site installation quick.
Electrical conduit locations are also pre-punched making wiring simple.
Thermal Dissipation:
This is the perfect enclosure for low voltage installations. Our metal enclosure helps dissipate the heat from the power supply increasing the life of the power supply. Did you know that LED Drivers have a maximum working temperature? Plastic boxes have low thermal dissipation, which will cause premature power supply failures due to heat. Our metal enclosure helps dissipate heat in all directions keeping the electronics cool.
Metal Construction:
Our metal enclosure is simply the best in the industry. Plastic enclosures or fabric enclosures do not compare for mounting hardware, fixtures, fans, speakers, or low voltage LED Drivers. Our galvanized metal construction is designed for the building’s life and will allow the rigidity needed for the next technology that needs to be mounted.

EZBarrier Speaker Enclosure meets requirements for ASTM E119 (2008a) standards. Intertek Listed for EZB 16-24-9, and EZB 14-14-3. On April 25, 2002, Omega Point Laboratories certified EZBarrier firebox to the American Society for Testing and Materials specification ASTM E119-00a Standard Methods of Fire Tests of Building Construction and
Materials. EZBarrier firebox also meets the following fire-related specifications: UL 263, UBC 7-1, NFPA 251, and ASI A2.1.

The EZBarrier firebox will maintain the one-hour fire rating required for the installation of recessed light fixtures and other devices within a rated assembly. e.z. barrier’s simple, the practical design creates substantial savings in installation costs per project in the field. More importantly, EZBarrier provides a multitude of options for recessed applications in all of your design projects. It takes away the limitations driven by high installation costs from building gypsum-board fireboxes that are not fire rated. EZBarrier is flexible in that it can be used in 16″ and 24″ on-center applications. It will also be available in other depths and sizes.
