Enclosure Ratings:

 EZBarrier Speaker Enclosure meets requirements for ASTM E119 (2008a) standards.  Intertek Listed for EZB 16-24-9, and EZB 14-14-3.  On April 25, 2002, Omega Point Laboratories certified EZBarrier firebox to the American Society for Testing and Materials specification ASTM E119-00a Standard Methods of Fire Tests of Building Construction and
Materials. EZBarrier firebox also meets the following fire-related specifications: UL 263, UBC 7-1, NFPA 251, and ASI A2.1.

The EZBarrier firebox will maintain the one-hour fire rating required for the installation of recessed light fixtures and other devices within a rated assembly. e.z. barrier’s simple, the practical design creates substantial savings in installation costs per project in the field. More importantly, EZBarrier provides a multitude of options for recessed applications in all of your design projects. It takes away the limitations driven by high installation costs from building gypsum-board fireboxes that are not fire rated. EZBarrier is flexible in that it can be used in 16″ and 24″ on-center applications. It will also be available in other depths and sizes.
